The system is powered by the Biometric Data Processing System (BDPS) technology platform, which allows for the verification/identification of individuals using personal biometric data (fingerprints, facial image).
The system provides data entry on foreigners detained by the State Border Guard, as well as identification of persons by performing checks related to the control of compliance with the rules of entry, stay, departure and transit of persons.

Cabinet Regulation of 03.02.2009 No. 99 “Regulations Regarding the Amount of Information to be Included in the Automated Fingerprint Identification System (AFIS) and Procedures for Use Thereof”.
Accumulated information
Biometrics of natural persons (fingerprints and facial images), biographical data (name, surname, date of birth, sex, nationality) and justification for data collection.
Who provides the information for inclusion in the information system?
State Border Guard.

The system has been operating on the technological platform of the Biometric Data Processing System since 1 January, 2018.
