The Information Centre of the Ministry of the Interior is a co-operation partner in the project “Unified Platform for State and Municipal Websites” implemented by the State Chancellery.
Project goals:
- By the end of 2020, create a single, centralized platform for managing public administration websites, which provides the preconditions for easier and more comprehensible public access to information generated by the public authorities.
- Improve the accessibility of institutional websites by implementing the requirements of Directive No. 2016/2102 and thus ensuring the accessibility of websites for all groups in society, including people with disabilities.
- Ensure efficient use of resources in the management of state and municipal websites through a unified website content management system and centralized technical support and maintenance, as well as decentralized content creation and administration (page 6 in the detailed project description).
The project is managed by the State Chancellery, which will be the manager of the unified platform of state and municipal websites, and will be responsible for its quality control, usability testing, planning of changes and development.
The Information Centre of the Ministry of the Interior is an important cooperation partner of the project - the Information Centre of the Ministry of the Interior will be the holder of the technical resources of the platform, providing technical hosting in the unified logical data centre.
The project budget is 2 million euros, incl. 85% or EUR 1.7 million is covered by European Regional Development Fund funding.
