Pursuant to the agreement of 22 February 2019 No. VP/IDF/2018/6, in the period from 25 February 2019 to 31 January 2021, the State Police of the Ministry of the Interior, in cooperation with the Information Centre of the Ministry of the Interior, implements the the project “Establishment of the Forensic Service Department Examination Laboratory Information System (ELIS)” (hereinafter - the Project) in the framework of the European Union Internal Security Fund (hereinafter - the Fund) National Programme 2014 - 2020 activity “Improvement of the capacity of the Forensic Service Department”. Project No. VP/IDF/2018/6.
The aim of the project is to strengthen the capacity of the Forensic Service Department by ensuring the transition of direct task execution processes to the digital environment, creating and implementing a modern, high-quality and secure Examination Laboratory Information System (ELIS).
The new information system of the Examination Laboratory will allow to digitize and improve the process of preparation of an expert opinion, increase the quality of information traceability, as well as improve the storage of case materials, results and other documents in a single platform. It is planned that ELIS will be integrated into a single e-Case platform, which will facilitate the flow of information between the platform modules.
The total eligible costs of the project are 517,000 EUR, which consists of Fund funding in the amount of 387,750 EUR and national co-financing in the amount of 129,250 EUR.
