INTERNAL SECURITY FUND 2014 - 2020 PROGRAMME PROJECT NO. VRS/IDF/2018/4
The State Border Guard in co-operation with the Information Centre of the Ministry of the Interior is implementing the project “Installation of ABC Gate at Riga International Airport “ in the framework of the National Security Fund National Programme 2014 - 2020.
Project goal: To implement an integrated state border security policy that is thoughtfully linked to measures to ensure state border security, while not impeding the movement of persons across the state border. To ensure the modernization of the technical equipment and information systems of air border surveillance of the Republic of Latvia.
Project implementation period: 20.12.2018. - 31.05.2020.
Funding: EUR 1 873 926 (of which financed from the Fund: EUR 1,405,444, state budget: 468,482 EUR).
Project activities: Installation of ABC Gate at Riga International Airport.
Results to be achieved in the project:
- Delivered and installed eight (8 pcs.) ABC gates at Riga International Airport;
- Delivered and installed 4 sets of communication equipment for connecting the existing infrastructure of Riga International Airport to the ABC gate solution.
