“Upgrade of the Maritime Surveillance System Video Data Stream and Repairs/Upgrading of its Elements”
The Information Centre of the Ministry of the Interior (IC MoI) in cooperation with the State Border Guard (SBG) implements the project of the National Security Fund 2014-2020 national program “Upgrade of the Maritime Surveillance System Video Data Stream and Repairs/Upgrading of its Elements” (hereinafter - the Project).
Project goal:
Promoting border surveillance measures through the modernization of maritime border video surveillance infrastructure.
Project implementation period: 15.04.2016. – 30.09.2017.
Funding: EUR 333 201 (of which financed from the Fund: EUR 249 900, state budget: EUR 83 301).
Project activities:
- Research of the SBG Maritime Surveillance Sytem (MSS) objects to be upgraded and dismantled;
- Increasing of the data transmission capacity;
- Modernization and repair of MSS objects.
Results to be achieved in the project:
- research of technical operability and usefulness (necessity) of MSS objects has been performed;
- 2 MSS objects have an optical data transmission network installed and 6 objects have increased throughput speed of the existing network, providing remote transmission of video image in live and archive mode between MSS objects;
- 26 MSS objects have been repaired and / or dismantled, as well as upgraded, equipping them to work with high-definition video data.
