The register is used for a common inventory of firearms, high-energy pneumatic weapons and gas pistols (revolvers). The register is used to prevent and combat crime.

Accumulated information
- Weapons registered and used in the Republic of Latvia, as well as weapons imported into the Republic of Latvia, exported from the Republic of Latvia and transported in transit through the Republic of Latvia;
- owners (possessors) of weapons;
- the addresses of the registered (declared) places of residence of the owners (possessors) of weapons (for legal persons - the legal address);
- permits for all types of weapons and special permits (licenses);
- control shots fired with barreled firearms for the control collection of bullets and shells;
- addresses of the storage of weapons and addresses to which a weapon must be sent or delivered.

- Komersanti, kas veic komercdarbību ieroču aprites jomā;
- Defense Department of the Bank of Latvia;
- Prison Administration of the Ministry of Justice;
- Merchants engaged in commercial activities in the field of arms circulation;
- Youth Guard and Information Center of the Ministry of Defense.

- system users in online data transmission mode;
- persons who do not have access to the system - in writing, in response to a request or submission.

- State and local government institutions that have the right to receive such information;
- private persons - in accordance with the procedures specified in regulatory enactments.
How is training in working with the information system organized?
If the user needs training in working with the information system, contact the department staff. Training is mandatory when granting a user data entry / correction rights.
Other information
- The system was put into operation in 2005.
- Since 2005, the information system has been included in the Integrated Home Affairs Information System.
